Coaches and Administration

Aaron Pittsenbarger

I have been coaching girls softball in some form or another for 8 years. This is my third year with the Lady Charmers. I also help coach Urbana High School in winter indoor ball. I am know as the "stat guy", because I keep pretty extensive stats for the 16U team. I have been married to my wife Carmen for 18 years and have two children, Leanna and Trevor. I am currently a high school math teacher in Urbana, hence the interest in stats. Before I became a teacher, I was a police officer for nine years. Three of those years as the juvenile police officer. I investigated crimes against children and crimes committed by children. Most of my adult life has involved working with youth. So, now I get to combine my interest in youth, softball and stats into a summertime of fun!!!!

Ryan, who is currently a Vice President at PNC Bank, started his coaching career as an assistant football coach under Dave Miller, Sr. at Beavercreek High School from 1986 to 1988. Over the last ten years he has coached softball, baseball, football, track, soccer and basketball. In 2004 he led the 12U Englewood Little League Girls Fast pitch Tournament team to a District 8 Little League Championship and a state Final Four appearance. As head coach of the 14U Miami Valley Crushers in 2006 he helped guide them to a top 25 finish in the USSSA World Series.

Tom Swander

I started coaching in 1986, when my daughter turned 6. A friend of mine entered his son in a T-Ball league and asked me to help him coach the team. Since then I have coached in Englewood's Little League Program, Vandalia's Parks & Recreation's Program and started two very successful travel ball programs. In 2000 and 2001, The Breakers, my first travel team, won several tournaments and twice finished in the top twenty nationally in their age bracket. I also ventured into high school softball in 2006, coaching the junior varsity at Oakwood High School. In 2007, I was the varsity coach at Milton-Union High School. My second travel ball organization, The Lady Charmers, was started by Jim McDaniel, Mark Pearce and I in August of 2005. After two years of playing 14U, our team moved up to 16U in 2007. In 2008, our 16U team won three out of the seven tournaments we played in and finished in fifth place out of fifty-eight teams in the prestigious 16U World Series. I remain very intense and focused on enlarging and improving the Lady Chamers softball organization. We are committed to providing the players and families of our players with the most challenging and entertaining softball experience in the Miami Valley.

After college, I played in the Dayton Industrial leagues as well as some tournaments. I am a graduate of Ohio University and I am employed as a programmer/analyst at Miami Valley Hospital .
